After many months of writing my book. Reviewing fanfiction, doing pixel art and making music. I could not be more exhilarated to tell you that I. . . I rarely add others artist or fav others art, not because I don't want but because I mostly use 90% of my watch list as a "contact list" for future collaboration and/or commission request, so if I fav you, you can be sure that I will send you a note sooner or later.

I also rarely thank the one who add my work into his fav list, so even if I do not thank you, that does not mean I do not think so, it is even all the opposite, so I thank all those who like my work. :)

Moving on the UE4 opened many doors to me (maybe too much in fact), what I mean is that all the constraints of SFM are now gone, increasing to an insane level the ammount of thing that I want to do, mostly regarding map making.

While I was severely limited to the scale and quality of a scene in SFM (always fighting to preserve a balance between map scale and model/texture quality in order to avoid the crash in SFM thanks to its 32 bit limitation...), well now I can use the powerhouse of my PC freely and create precisely the map I want and this is precisely the thing which increase my ammount of work currently.
On the animation side, thanks to the last update of the UE4, I can now build directly into the engine FK animation (3rd party software for making animation was an
obligation before this update), the last update also include the possibility to build custom IK rig and animete them directly in engine just like in SFM fashion, sadly for now the IK rig system still rely on the default Epic armature format, meaning that if your custom model doesn't use the EPIC Studio skeleton, well you are in the mess, according to EPIC the situation should be resolved for the 4.17 update planed for Q3 this years.

Until then, if I want to animate properly in the UE4, or I redo completely the bone of the model I use to the EPIC format, or I animate in a 3rd party software (Blender, Maya...) or I waiting the 4.17 update, and since I mostly working on map making atm, I will probably wait the 4.17 update.
The end of SFM.
It's done, the UE4 have integrated its "SFM-esque" way to make animation, this new feature is still a prototype, the auto-FK rig work perfectly for every humanoid skeleton, the IK rig still have some issues for an armature which is not on the standard Epic format since the IK-rig still rely on the default Epic skeleton to work, meaning that if your custom bone are not at least in the same orientation, well you are in the mess.

BUT it has already been confirmed that the orientation issue should be fixed for the 4.17 which should be released in Q3 for this years.

SunChild - UE4 - Sol Imperial Palace WIP
This is one of the major reason why I have leaved SFM to go on the UE4 instead.

This is a WIP of the Sol imperial palace map (the home of Blaze the cat) for the SunChild project, making this in SFM would have been stricly impossible, first because the palace itself use more than 100 material slot (while SFM is limited to 33 max per model), and secondly because I was absolutely in need to have a freaking big map with a tropical forest around the palace, because of the 32 bit limitation of SFM, SFM would had run out of memory.

90% of the external part of the palace is done, moving soon to the internal part (because yes, the inside of that palace is fully useable).

it was not a surprise for me since in fact Most of the plot element and game feature for Force were been leaked since... 2016 (yeah yeah, check on Youtube some video talk about it with a sumary of the leaks and the source if you want to spoil yourself, and honestly at this point you should if you want to avoid the Sonic Cycle), so I was already aware of most of the thing showed in the trailer of yesterday.

So, about that fan service thing..., well you already know what that thing mean when it's used for anime or movie, mostly used to hide your lack of good thing or to hide your ammount of bad thing in your series / movie, bringing the most iconic vilain of Sonic (well except the deadly six guy) into a crew of bad guy, adding an OC designer into the game, it's not an innocent choice, Sonic Force clearly try to seduce its public on the style and not on its content.

And according to the leaks (
where some of the leaks data were recently confirmed by the trailer, so you can take the rest of the leaks really seriously) the Sonic cycle will clearly hit freaking hard the community, you will protest about the plot of Tails, you will protest about the character roster which are in the game only here for fan service purpose (hello Silver) and without any valid plot reason, you will protest about the plot hole and you will protest about the fact that the story of Force is basically a emo and edgy fanfic written by your little brother of 5 years.

For these reason, the only power that I have to protest is the power of money, so for now, I will clearly not buy Sonic Force and use the Torrent way instead (yeah because I may still have some use for the game asset that I can ripoff), in fact
the last Sonic game that I legaly bought was Sonic Unleashed, my relationship with the Sonic series is since limited to the boycott because I'm completely disagree with the choice and direction taken by Sega and the Sonic Team.
Tails - UE4 - HairWorks [WIP]
First try on Tails and almost directly a perfect result (thanks to the EXP earned while working on Blaze fur).
Only the mouth still need some work, all the rest just need some minor touch (local adjust of fur length, density...).

Like for Blaze, base fur texture provided by :iconflora-tea: and edited/updated to PBR format by myself.

Hi there. TheSwordLegion told me about you, and your CGI work is impressive! Remaking some of the coolest things in the Sonic series in SFM and more! Awesome job!

I will not add to them a shield since I've designed the whole Sol faction force to be basically a "glass canon", their armor are light with a minimal protection to the head and chest only to ensure maximum agility.
